BLOGGEDY BLOGGEDY BLOG 2010

Yesterday, Wednesday, I was involved in WORLD COMMUNITY ARTS DAY at Rawlins College, Quorn, where I was in charge of four sculpture workshops throughout the day. I was most ably assisted by Charlotte (sorry, I forgot your last name Charlotte), who is a second year Fine Art Undergraduate at L.U.S.A.D. I have attached just a few examples of the work produced on the day by the youngsters. Sadly only two adults chose to participate in sculpture, and they only because they were with their offspring, but they did participate fully. How about this for a truly wicked helipcopter? the blades actually spin ! World Community Arts Day was started by a man in a council house up in Scotland and has grown into a global annual affaire. Google to find out more.
and how about the bulb attached to this plug! This lad had tremendous imagination and produced several clever things from our rubbish in his hour with us.
From the first session.........."Me, Robot" , to paraphrase a classic modern novel.
and how about this delightful little fly?
Obviously there was something about our workshop as we had to force the kids to leave and have a tea break or lunch or go on to their other workshop! Voting with their feet, as they say.
Sadly, this week, I also wished goodbye to my Aunt Vi at Coventry Crematorium. A lovely service and a good wake. My family have good wakes ! But they are getting smaller in number of attendees !
To lighten this blog now I have to share with you the news that I sold a painting last week; I have two paintings in Vaughan College and KLA have our show at the Richard Attenborough Centre in March, which is just around the corner !
Plus, Claire Hilton and myself have booked a pitch at the street art thing...........er, now then, was it in Camden?, any way, its this July and we are gonna make a killing with our artworks. All organised by Claire, so many thanks for that babe. And tomorrow am looking at cheap cars as mine has, I think, reached the end of the line. Cant complain, its been around the clock twice, was hammered as a taxi, and is held together with ductape!
Remember everyone, that you create your own future with your thoughts. Happiness attracts happiness, so be happy ! Worry creates reasons to worry, so dont worry! Love all , and hurt none, its the only religion you really need!
