Time, a Lifetime.
If you could write a story of a man who had a pet monkey when he was a child, who always wanted to work with mechanical and electrical things, who learned how to plaster a wall just so he could do his own; if you could write a story of a man who learned to play poker whilst sailing on a ship called HMS EMPIRE ANVIL on his way to war, who was a 17/21st Lancer ( a Desert Rat ) and who returned safe to, with a partner, set up Park Auto Services repairing and servicing and, yes, making cars (he once re-constructed an MG sports car by panel beating all of the body parts) and who drove an f2 racing car until his own rear wheel sped past him in one race; If you could write a story of a man who had two sons and then took on somebody elses son, whose interest in electronics, mechanics of all kinds....cars, boats, aeroplanes,....who made an engine that ran on heat, all during his retirement years and was planning for the future even just a few days before his energy was transformed into another kind of energy, then you would have written the story of Kenneth, who was known to all of his friends as John, and to others as Pops, Dad, Grandad and Husband. Yesterday evening (saturday 12th February),at approximately 9.45 p.m., the man that story would have been written about passed from this world into another. We will all miss him, but we are all thankful for his not lingering in the pain of cancer and for going out in his sleep. I hope, once he has rested, he goes on to have ever more adventures.
Three green lights, dad !
