The BRIXTON ADVENTURE in street art at the BRIXTON URBAN ARTS FAIR was a great weekend.

Pitched in the pedestrianised area on the Saturday where, unfortunately, the hessian covered the metal grill of the fencing supplied which made hanging work a little difficult. The resultant string looked messy and amateur.

However, the Sunday pitch was on iron railings on the junction of Appach Road/Josephine Avenue and my work sat a little better. Some were clearly old hands at this sort of thing and brought their own structures and even their own lightweight walls to enhance their work the way a gallery would.
There were prints as well as originals, live music on the first day, clean toilets, and fresh food being cooked.
I learned so much from this event and will be using that knowledge in future adventures. However, the really good thing was................ I MADE SALES ! (as did Claire who shared the adventure with me).
On another note; Reminder for interested parties;
CLAY PORTRAITURE PROJECT; OVER TWO DAYS (August 6 & 7, 2010), all materials and tools supplied, live model and tution from yours truly. It is hoped that on the second day the heads will be moulded and cast in plaster. The COST is a mere £70 payable in advance. Please phone me to book on 07743781943. ONLY THREE PLACES LEFT!!
and on that note........... take care and Love All, Hurt None, its the only religion you need, and remember that your thoughts create your future so be careful what you think. Bye for now !
