Spent several hours in the Knighton Lane Studios saturday just gone and have made significant improvements to the three paintings Im working on right now. Finally the leg she has folded under her is looking more like it and I think the painting is not far from being completed.

the crosslegged lady IS now completed and Im really quite happy with it. Darks playing off against lights, nice body shape, just enough not there to make it more interesting than if it was all there.........if you see what I mean. Plus, when seen in close up via the camera it is even better.
The colours have changed due to the camera and lighting etc., but I think it stands as it is.

The headless lady is ,though, my favourite and is definitely completed. I love this one and in close ups it just gets better to my mind. But then Im blowing my own trumpet so perhaps you will think diferently. Let me know. Its good to get feedback.
Ive been reading Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. It has inspired me to make a series of works based on the tales. This will keep me occupied for some few months I would imagine.
Talking of being occupied.................. tomorrow, Monday, is the second session at Ellesmere College and I have decided that it may be best to tell them what we are doing rather than simply allow them to choose. They seemed to find it rather hard going understanding what I meant last week, bless them. And, guess what................. I have been engaged for a one day session producing, with the youngsters, a mosaic to celebrate 100 years of boy scouting in Burbage. Have a meeting with the scouts on Tuesday evening to meet them, give them food for thought, and to perhaps arrange a saturday to do it on. Its getting rather exciting at the moment and I just trust that the Universe is leading me slowly into a life of abundance through my artistic endeavours so that my company, ART-CELL, can grow and not only employ me and make me financially happy but also perhaps employ others, if only on an ad-hoc freelance basis. That would be really great and would make me really really happy.
I trust the Universe implicitly in this. I have given myself over to the good auspices of the Universe now and things are looking o.key dokey. Have I mentioned that I am also engaged sometime in May or June to lead youngsters in a local school in a pavement drawing competition, working with them and judging which images to send on to the national competition for the benefit of muscular dystrophy charity. Plus.............. but best not to talk about this one as it isnt definite yet. But as you can see, I think its finally happening for me!
Thats all for now folks, and remember to Love all and hurt none; its the only religion you need.
